Woodward 5464-331 NetCon FT Kernal PS Module The MicroNetTMR. (Triple Modular Redundancy) controller is a state-of-the-art digital control platform designed to reliably control and protect steam turbines, gas turbines, and compressor trains used in system-critical applications where there is a risk of safety issues or significant economic loss. The MicroNetTMR’s 2/3 voting architecture ensures that problems are responded to correctly and that the prime mover continues to operate safely without any single point of failure. The MSM functions as the system's SIL-3 logic solver, and its fast (12 milliseconds) response time and integrated overspeed and acceleration detection/protection capabilities make it ideal for critical high-speed rotating motor, compressor, turbine, or engine applications. The MicroNet TMR" control platform uses a rugged rack-mount chassis with online replaceable I/O modules and a triple modular architecture to achieve 99.999% availability. This triple modular redundancy-based system consists of three independent core sections (A, B, C) located in the platform's compact chassis. Each core section contains its own CPU, CPU power supply, and up to four I/O modules. I/O modules can be used for single-ended I/O, redundant I/O, triple redundant I/O, or any combination of redundancy. I/O can be expanded using a system expansion chassis or through rugged LinkNet HT distributed I/O. The platform's high-density modules and integrated applications provide first-out indication of monitored system events to reduce troubleshooting time. These customized modules time-stamp discrete events within 1 millisecond and analog events within 5 milliseconds. MicroNet TMR uses two power supplies, each of which powers the control from a separate power supply. Each power supply has three independent power converters inside, one for each CPU and I/O section. This triple power supply architecture provides maximum protection against single or multi-point hardware failures. The controller's special TMR discrete I/O module is designed for critical discrete circuits. The module accepts discrete inputs and distributes those inputs to each independent core section, as well as output relay-based contacts to drive discrete application logic. The module's special TMR. outputs use a six-relay configuration and integrated recessive fault detection logic, allowing for the failure of any or two relays under certain conditions without affecting the integrity of the output contacts. This architecture allows for routine relay testing as well as online repairability without affecting the integrity of the output or system.The MicroNetTMR controller's actuator drive module is designed from the outset to be a proportional or integral turbine valve servo, using single or dual redundant coils, interfacing with AC or DC feedback position sensors. The MicroNetTMR control can accommodate any combination of Woodward MicroNet I/O modules and LinkNet HT distributed I/O to provide maximum application flexibility.
