DeltaV SIS can be deployed to connect with any DCS or integrated with the DeltaV DCS. Integration is achieved without sacrificing functional separation because safety functions are implemented in separate hardware, software, and networks while being seamlessly integrated on the workstation. IEC 61511 requires that any changes made by the HMI (such as trip limits) be fully reviewed to ensure that the correct data is written to the correct logic solver.
